“Laughter is the sound of the soul dancing. My soul probably looks like Fred Astaire.”

Sooooooooooo, this must have been one of the best weekends I have had in a bit (I know I always say that but, it really was).

Friday was the first impromptu jam of the weekend. Kgolo (my sexy mami/ best housemate ever/*add all the nicknames I call her) asks me if I would go to Prime with her because a few of our friends from PE were in town. This was so random because, we were both ready to go to bed when she asked me (I clearly wasn’t otherwise I would not have gone). So, we went to Prime and realized that it was Nitegroovez (it was supposed to be amazing, and that’s all that I will say about it) and, after being there for some time, we decided to move it to our place (it has yet to be named). After dropping and picking up people; getting food from BP and, surviving jail (overloaded my car, don’t tell my dad) by the skin of our teeth, Sivu, Kgolo, Shandu, Sitha, Lloyd, Clix and Vide pursued the ‘fun’ that we were supposed to have at Prime, at our place. And, I am glad to say that we accomplished it. After a night of chatting, music (I make the best playlists ever, sounds so cocky but, it’s kinda true though) and too much laughing; we decided to play 30 Seconds at about 5 in the morning. Clix and I beat everyone else ( it was really just 3 people; Sitha and Vide were sleeping) and after some tomfoolery that I will not mention, I retreated to the love of my life, my bed.

Saturday was very relaxed initially. It was Sitha’s birthday party in the evening and I just wanted to chill for the lit part of the day. Got ready at about 21:00 and we went to Prime (again). The dress code was all black. She looked amazing and, we had so much fun. At about 00:00, the guys got together and bought 2 bottles of champagne so that we could celebrate Sitha and Vide’s birthday (they share a birthday). We then left Prime and went to Pirates for a little while. After Pirates, we went to Khwezi’s house but it was too small so, we gladly ended up at Hloni’s beautiful diggs across the road. After chatting and watching Clix and Hloni play golf, I took Sitha and Clix home and went back to my first love, my bed.

Sunday was also pretty awesome. We had planned to all have brunch at about 2 but, it ended up being later at The Rat & Parrot. That smoky chicken pizza was the bees knees!!! Whooh! So yummy! It’s a pity I had 1 slice (6 guys, 3 girls plus, we arrived late) and that is all I had that day. Oh! And, Sitha came with a bag full of red velvet cupcakes! They were amaaazing *Penny (from Happy Endings) voice* After The Rat, we went to our place and played another 2 rounds of 30 Seconds while I played another playlist (old school kwaito this time). We then headed to Prime (again) where 5fm (popular radio station) was hosting a party. The evening ended weirdly but, I really enjoyed most of it. I haven’t danced like that in a while.

But now, it’s back the slog and grind *cues C.N.A. advert* a.k.a. exam prep.
Stay blessed.

I wish everyone knew this and realized that you were made whole. Your partner does not complete you; they compliment you.
